Robert J. Romano is pleased to announce that he will be a guest panelist for Harlem RBI’s Youth Networking for Success Event that will occur this Wednesday evening, November 16, 2011 at Harlem RBI Offices in East Harlem, NY.
The Event will proceed as follows:
Youth Networking for Success (YNS)
November 16, 2011
Professionals arrive at Harlem RBI Office located at 1960 1st Avenue (in the River Crossing Apartment complex on the East side of 1st Avenue at E 101st St.) at 6:00 p.m. Please note you should not use Google maps to find us as it will bring you a location in East Midtown. We are located in East Harlem.
Youth and Professionals will be evenly split into two groups (two separate rooms)
In each room the following will occur:
- Program Coordinators will introduce the evening
- Youth will introduce themselves and their possible career goals
- Professionals will introduce themselves, where they work, what they do and where they went to school
- Youth will then be split into two additional groups for the Fact or Fiction game.
Fact or Fiction
Program Coordinator will make a statement (i.e., if you work in Corporate Retail, you pick all the products in the store; only a lawyer can defend you in court) and ask “Fact or Fiction.” If youth guess correctly, that team earns a point; team that gets to 6 points first wins.
After the youth are asked a Fact or Fiction question, professionals will have an opportunity to elaborate on that point. Fact or Fiction questions will relate to specific career paths.
At the conclusion of Fact or Fiction, there will be a brief Q&A, after which the youth will switch rooms, and the format begins again.
